What will I do during each session?
Our focus falls on four main areas: Animal Husbandry, Fitting, Showmanship, and Sportsmanship. Each kid will work be able to work with our coaches to refine their knowledge and skills in each of these areas, and ultimately enhance any 4-H and FFA experience. A private session is held with one student and one coach. A semi-private session is held with up to two students and one coach. A group session is held with up to six students to one coach.
How much does a session cost?
PRIVATE: $50 per student/hour
SEMI-PRIVATE: $35 per student/hour
GROUP: $25 per student/hour
ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
This includes learning how to handle your animal safely, halter them up, feed/water, supplement, deworm, vaccinate, clean up after, etc.
FITTING
This includes learning how to properly bathe, condition, rinse, clip, and ultimately fit your animal competitively for a show
SHOWMANSHIP
This includes learning how to correctly and competitively show your animal in the showring to a judge
SPORTSMANSHIP
This includes learning how to be a strong leader, how to work efficiently with others, and to win and lose graciously in the showring.
